Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: May 19, 2026

At Ebook Local Publisher, we are committed to providing professional ebook publishing, formatting, design, editing, marketing, and related services. Because our services are customized and require time, resources, and personnel to begin working on each project, we maintain the following Refund & Cancellation Policy.

By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted this policy before making payment.

1. Payment Confirms Your Order

Once a customer makes a payment for a service, the order is considered confirmed and our team may begin the project onboarding process.

After payment is received, the customer’s information, project requirements, and relevant materials may be forwarded to the appropriate Project Manager or assigned production team so that work can begin within the applicable project timeframe.

Because resources are allocated to the customer’s project after payment, customers should make sure they understand the selected service and its requirements before placing an order.

2. Change of Mind

Payments are non-refundable solely because a customer changes their mind after purchasing a service.

Once payment has been made and the project has entered the onboarding, planning, production, or fulfillment process, a customer cannot request a refund simply because they:

  • Changed their mind;

  • No longer want the service;

  • Decided to use another company;

  • Changed their publishing plans;

  • Changed their book or business plans;

  • No longer wish to continue the project;

  • Found another provider;

  • Are dissatisfied with the decision to purchase after the order was confirmed.

This applies whether or not the customer has subsequently provided additional project materials.

3. Project Assignment After Payment

After payment is received, Ebook Local Publisher may assign the project to a Project Manager or relevant production specialist.

The customer’s project information may be transferred internally for the purpose of:

  • Project planning;

  • Production;

  • Design;

  • Formatting;

  • Editing;

  • Publishing assistance;

  • Quality control;

  • Communication;

  • Delivery of the agreed services.

Once the project has entered this process, the payment is considered committed to the customer’s project and is not refundable due to a change of mind or cancellation request.

4. Work Completion and Delivery

Our team will work toward completing the services included in the customer’s selected package.

Once the agreed services have been completed and the applicable deliverables have been provided or made available to the customer, no refund will be issued for dissatisfaction based solely on a change of mind, failure to use the completed service, or a decision not to proceed with the customer’s publishing plans.

Customers are encouraged to review the agreed scope of work and communicate any legitimate service-related concerns with their Project Manager so that the matter can be addressed appropriately.

5. Revisions and Corrections

Where revisions are included in the customer’s purchased package, customers should provide their feedback within the applicable revision period.

If a customer identifies an issue that falls within the agreed scope of work, Ebook Local Publisher will make reasonable efforts to correct or revise the applicable deliverable in accordance with the package purchased.

A request that substantially changes the original project requirements may be considered additional work and may require an additional fee.

6. No Refund for Completed Services

Once a service has been performed, completed, delivered, or substantially completed, the associated payment is non-refundable.

This includes services such as:

  • Ebook formatting;

  • Book cover design;

  • Interior book design;

  • Editing and proofreading;

  • Ebook conversion;

  • Publishing assistance;

  • ISBN-related assistance;

  • Manuscript preparation;

  • Marketing services;

  • Website or digital services;

  • Other customized services included in the customer’s order.

7. Third-Party Fees and Expenses

Certain projects may involve third-party platforms, services, licenses, software, publishing platforms, advertising platforms, stock assets, or other external costs.

Where such costs have been incurred specifically for a customer’s project, those amounts may be non-refundable.

Ebook Local Publisher is not responsible for refunds issued by or requested from third-party platforms according to their own policies.

8. Customer Delays

Customers are expected to provide the information, files, approvals, and feedback required to complete their project.

If a project is delayed because the customer does not provide required information or feedback, the original estimated delivery timeframe may change.

Customer-caused delays do not automatically create a right to a refund.

9. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Customers agree to contact Ebook Local Publisher first if they have a concern regarding a payment, service, project status, or deliverable.

We are committed to reviewing legitimate concerns and making reasonable efforts to resolve service-related issues directly with the customer.

Where a payment dispute or chargeback is submitted, Ebook Local Publisher may provide the relevant documentation to the applicable payment provider, which may include:

  • Invoice or order information;

  • Proof of payment;

  • Customer communications;

  • Service agreement;

  • Project requirements;

  • Project assignment records;

  • Work completed;

  • Deliverables;

  • Customer approvals;

  • Delivery records.

Customers should not initiate a payment dispute solely because they have changed their mind after purchasing a service or no longer wish to use a service that has already been assigned, started, completed, or delivered.

Nothing in this policy is intended to prevent a customer from exercising any consumer or legal rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

Although our standard policy is that payments are non-refundable after an order has been confirmed, Ebook Local Publisher may review exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Any exception is at the discretion of Ebook Local Publisher and does not establish an automatic right to a refund or create a precedent for future orders.

11. Service Concerns

If you believe that the service delivered does not materially match the service you purchased, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will review the matter based on the agreed scope of work and, where appropriate, may offer a correction, revision, replacement deliverable, or another reasonable resolution.

Customers should give Ebook Local Publisher a reasonable opportunity to address a legitimate service issue before seeking external payment remedies.

12. Cancellation Requests

A customer may contact us to request cancellation of a project. However, submitting a cancellation request does not automatically create a right to a refund.

If work has already begun, resources have been allocated, or third-party costs have been incurred, the payment may remain non-refundable.

The final determination will be based on the applicable service agreement, the stage of the project, work performed, and applicable law.

13. Customer Acknowledgment

By placing an order and making payment, the customer acknowledges that:

  1. They have reviewed the service they are purchasing.

  2. They understand that our services may be customized specifically for their project.

  3. They understand that payment confirms their order.

  4. They understand that project information may be forwarded to a Project Manager or production team after payment.

  5. They understand that changing their mind after payment does not qualify them for a refund.

  6. They understand that completed or delivered services are non-refundable.

  7. They agree to communicate with Ebook Local Publisher directly regarding legitimate service concerns.

  8. They understand that this policy does not remove any mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable law.
